Simone Arcagni is Professor at the University of Palermo and teaches at the IULM in Milan and at the Scuola Holden in Turin. He is a scholar, consultant, curator and disseminator of new media and new technologies. He collaborates with «Nòva-Il Sole24Ore», «FilmTV», «Segnocinema», «Che Fare», «Impactscool Magazine» and other magazines and newspapers. He runs a column for the "Sciences" magazine of "Repubblica" and a blog on the "Nòva100" website. He founded and directs the scientific magazine «ESJournal» and curates “VR Stories”, an international virtual reality festival and market.
Recently, as curator, he signed the exhibition Futuri passati (Biennale Democrazia / Polo del '900) and #FacceEmozioni (with Donata Pesenti Campagnoni for the National Cinema Museum). Among his publications, Oltre il cinema (2010) and Screen City (2012). For Einaudi he published: Digital Visions (2016) and The Eye of the Machine (2018).
